Simulating binary neutron stars with entropy-limited hydrodynamics

It is also necessary to simulate as many different binary neutron star (BNS) initial data configurations as possible to better identify the source of the gravitational (GW) signals we observe. To that end, I am performing simulations with equal mass BNS initial data with spins aligned in different directions with eccentric orbits. Along with that, we are also evolving spinning high mass stars with spins perpendicular to orbital plane. The initial data was generated by Sgrid program and is being evolved with the entropy-limited hydrodynamics (ELH) formulation of combined high-order and low-order fluxes in BAM. We are also evolving the initial data using the Einstein Toolkit to compare the results. The goal is to study the GW signals produced by such BNS configurations.
